Sarah Christensen has been a teacher at Project Dance for the past eight years and has been connected to the studio since it first opened. During her time at Project, she has taught and assisted in all styles and across every age group. With around 20 years of dance experience, Sarah has performed and competed in nearly every style. This year, she teaches Jazz Technique classes and a Friday Hip Hop Choreography class.

 

Outside of the studio, Sarah is a middle school dance teacher—teaching DANCE as her full-time career. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education in December 2021.

 

Sarah is also a member of a touring folk dance team, American Folk Ensemble, which travels internationally to perform in festivals alongside dance groups from around the world. She began touring with the group in 2017 and has traveled to 10 countries with them. This summer, she will be performing in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

 

In her free time, Sarah loves playing games of all kinds, watching movies, TV shows, and YouTube, and reading for the multiple book clubs she participates in. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
