Meet Alex Lant Rodriguez
Dance Teacher

     Alex started dancing at the young age of 3 years old. She grew up training extensively in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical, ballroom, and contemporary at The Dance Club in Orem, UT. She then continued on her training with Center Stage Performing Arts Studio and The Pointe Academy. She won various scholarships in ballet and hip hop at conventions such as NUVO and NYCDA. At just 13 years old she joined the pre professional company Odyssey 2 under the Direction of Derryl Yeager for two seasons. She had the opportunity to perform in numerous shows with Odyssey Dance Theatre, including “Thriller” and “Shut Up & Dance.” She also had the opportunity to perform with the Utah Lyric Opera in 2012. She was a part of the Pleasant Grove Vikettes drill team for one season from 2012-2013. She trained with Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, DC under the direction of Maria Tenchekova for two summers in 2011 and 2012, as well as training with Ballet West extensively for two summers in 2013 and 2014.
      Alex attended the University of Utah for four years, and graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the School of Dance in 2017. She had numerous performance opportunities with various roles in La Bayadere, Paquita, and Coppelia. She was also a part of numerous contemporary works. She had very extensive ballet training from Stephanie Cole, Calvin Kitten, Margaret Wright Tesch, Jan Fugit, Jennifer Weber, and Sharee Lane.

     She loves helping dancers grow and reach their potential, and hopes to inspire the students at Project Dance!
